Adobe ROME
Adobe just launched their web-based office suite. Early reviews say that the new software (available online and as a desktop application) has a few advantages over the popular Google Docs and MS Office Live Workspace. Put simply, it will allow average users to create rich media content without purchasing more extensive (and expensive) software. That is to include things such as printed flyers, interactive presentations and websites. Check out this video to have a look at the functions Adobe Rome will offer.
It seems that Adobe is now seriously branching out into the broader consumer market, where they will certainly face fierce competition. Project Rome is now available as a free preview trial at http://rome.adobe.com/. Go check it out!
