German singer Max Raabe covers international songs from the 20's and 30's, plus many modern classics like Britney Spears or Robbie Williams. Genius.

The sweet sound of Fleet Foxes
Fleet Foxes are finally about to release their second album, and here is the first single. This is the band at their best, working totally against the common curse of the second album. I can't get the song out of my head, and the album is just as good as the first one, if not better.
A hand of applause to SirFredPaull for the video, too. The guy from Scottsdale, AZ, has some really good uploads you should check out.

Old Spice is back with a body wash
Old Spice just bombarded YouTube with a new campaign for their body wash.
Slightly different angle, but the effect is better than ever. It actually made me laugh out loud.

Rolling In The Deep
I am a huge fan of Adele, I know her debut album 19 inside out. As much as I love Rolling In The Deep, I only just saw the video and I think that it's really good.
I am very much looking forward to her second album 21, due to be released on January 24th.

Blind Pilot
Here is my first music discovery of 2011. I thank the producers of Cyrus, my favourite movie discovery of 2011, for adding I Buried A Bone it to the closing credits. I downloaded the album and I've listened to it over 5 times on repeat, just today. The big criterion for my new albums this week was that they had to be appropriate for studying - it is exam time, after all. 3 Rounds And A Sound is pretty good, but on top of that, it is the perfect soundtrack to a few beers and cigarettes after a hard day's work. Enjoy the clip, and work your magic to download it - the album is not available on iTunes... If you fail, this YouTube playlist has quite a few good songs. I sure hope you like it!

My 2010 Music Chart
Here is a tag cloud of my favourite artists in 2010, sorted by the number of play counts on my Last.fm profile. The Morning Benders and Two Door Cinema Club are definitely the best two new additions to my music library!

Time knows how to create rankings
Given my love for rankings of all sorts, I just spent hours looking at the many lists that Time composed to sum up 2010. I very much enjoyed the classic YouTube's 50 Best Videos but I then immediately steered towards 50 Best Websites 2010. I am gonna go ahead and recommend Labuat, a visual music experience online, set to a beautiful song in Spanish. The website allows you to paint with your cursor while you listen to the music, which kind of reminded me of The Wilderness Downtown. Sounds cheesy, but it's actually quite enjoyable. Do check out the Time rankings too though, they are my new source of cool ideas around the web that I will definitely be blogging about in the next few weeks.
